Fashion design is a field that is growing rapidly. It used to be that you had to go to school in a major fashion capital if you really wanted to learn the kind of fashion design that was going to get you a job. However, that’s not the case anymore. The spread of fashion design schools across the nation has really opened up opportunities for students in this field.

Surprisingly it’s actually freed up options for students in major fashion capitals as well. Because the entire focus of these areas isn’t on fashion anymore, new schools have cropped up to explore other areas of design. For example, you might go to New York and skip the fashion scene altogether in favor of studying game design at Melville Gibbs College. These days, the education opportunities are endless!
